Land of the Blessed Prophets
This book describes many of the sites and places of religious and historical significance that Mufti Sāhib visited during his travels and gives an account of many of the events of religious significance that unfolded there, in an effort for the reader to gain insight and explore further in realising the significance and rich legacy of these sacred lands.
Jordan is an inherently blessed and sacred place and only 20 miles away from its border is Jerusalem, in which lies Islam’s third holiest site – Masjid Al-Aqsa. Many prophets travelled through this blessed land and are buried here. Many of the Prophet’s Companions t were martyred there during the battles they fought and a great multitude have also been laid to rest here. This was the first territory where Islām spread outside of the Arabian Peninsula during the Prophet’s lifetime.
The Cave of the Seven Sleepers which is mentioned in the Qur’an also lies in Jordan, as the predominant evidence suggests.
